The Tiffin City Council met in special session on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Springmier
Library at the CCA Middle School. Mayor Berner called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Roll
Call vote:Joann Kahler, Mike Ryan (via phone),Jim Bartels (via phone), Peggy Upton, Royce
Phillips. Absent: none. Also present: Administrator Jackson.
Motion Kahler to approve the agenda, seconded Ryan. Motion carried.
Resolution 2013-144 Approving an increase in the wages for the Deputy Clerk position, not to exceed
$36,000 per year: Motion Upton to approve, seconded Kahler.Ayes=Kahler,Upton, Bartels, Ryan. Nays=
Phillips. Motion passed.
Deputy Clerk Position:Administrator Jackson selected Brent Gorton for the position. Motion Kahler to
approve hiring, seconded Ryan.Ayes=Ryan, Bartels, Kahler. Nays=Phillips, Upton. Motion passed.
Resolution 2013-138 Creating a Comprehensive Plan Committee: Motion Kahler to approve,seconded
Ryan.Ayes=Kahler, Upton, Ryan, Bartels. Nays=Phillips. Motion passed.
Motion Kahler to adjourn at 6:11 p.m., seconded by Upton. Motion carried.
