RESOLUTION AWARDING BID ~ SCAVENGER SERVICES
WHEREAS, bids for scavenger services were authorized by Resolution #97-97 on
March 9, 1997; and
WHEREAS, bids were received on June 9, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Council of the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough
Council") has determined to award a contract for a period of one (1) year; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Council has determined to include schools as part of the
scavnger services; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Council in determining the low bidder did not consider
bidders proposals regarding increase in number of units; and
WHEREAS, Dauman Recycling Co., Inc., Carteret, New Jersey is the lowest
responsible bidder with a bid of $840,000.00 plus $1000.00 for inclusion of schools.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED a follows:
1.) A contract for scavenger services for a period of one (1) year in the amount of
$840,000.00 plus $1000.00 for school pick-up commencing June 15, 1997 is
awarded to Dauman Recycling Co., Inc., Carteret, New Jersey.
2.) The Mayor and Borough Clerk are authorized to execute said contract and
documents approved by the Borough Attorney as are necessary to accomplish the
intended purpose of this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the contract for scavenger services between
the Borough of Carteret and Dauman Recycling Co., Inc., dated October 7, 1995 is
hereby terminated effective June 15, 1997.
BE 1T FURTHER RESOLVED that all Addendum #1 bids for Rolloffs are hereby
rejected

and the Borouqh of Carteret, a municipal corporation, having its
principal office at the Borough Hall , 61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret,
New Jersey, 07008, hereinafter the "BOROUGH".
As per Resolution No. 97-192
THE CONTRACTOR does hereby agree to perform the following:
Award of bid for 1 Year Scavenger Contract commencing on
June 15, 1997.
according to the terms set forth in the bids and specifications.
THE BOROUGH does hereby agree to pay the Contractor the sums set
forth in the Contractor's bid.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunder set their
hands and seals or caused these presents to be signed by their
proper corporate officers and their corporate seals to be hereto
affixed, the day and year written above.
