Absent: Nielsen and Van Heiden Motion by Lindaman second by Meints to approve the minutes of the July regular meeting and the July 19th special meeting. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Lindaman to approve the Treasurer’s report for July. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Meints to approve the following bills for payment. All ayes, carried. Motion by Lindaman second, by James to approve sending a letter outlining the options for corrective action to Iowa Department of Natural Resources per their requirement. All ayes, carried. Greg Riebkes, Library Board, presented the library report. Mike Nederhoff, Fire Chief, presented the fire department report. Mike suggested that the city scheduled a testing of the new siren system. Mike will schedule with the City Clerk. Motion by Meints, second by Lindaman to approve beer permit for Casey’s General Store and liquor license for the Wellsburg Tap (pending all contracts and dram insurance). All ayes, carried. Motion by Lindaman second by Meints to approve cigarette permit for Casey’s General Stores. All ayes, carried. Motion by James second by Lindaman to approve building permit for Arnold Boekhoff. All ayes, carried. Motion by James, second by Meints to approve building permit including a lot line variance for Chris Slaughter. All ayes, carried. Motion by Lindaman second by James to approve a building permit for Ben Gavin. All ayes, carried. Motion by Lindaman second by James to adjourn.
