MOTION 2011 -025
I move that the Town Council direct the Town Manager to work with Leesburg Police
Department to inform the Virginia State Police of the Council's strong support for the
9/11 Ride on August 19, 2011 along Business Route 15 and coordinate appropriate
resources within the town to mitigate the impacts of the road closures to the degree
possible and coordinate with other public safety agencies in the region. The Town
Manager is further directed to take the necessary proactive public relations actions to
inform the public of the Ride and it's impacts
