Tiffin Planning and Zoning Commission March 1, 2000
A regular meeting of the Tiffin Planning and Zoning Commission was brought to order by Chair Dan
O'Halloran March 1,2000 at 6:35 p.m. at the Tiffin Fire Station. Members present: Steve Berner,Terry
Richardson, Dan O"Hallroan Absent:Tina Walls and Melvin Reeve. Also present: Mayor Glenn Potter,
Mike Gericke, Jim Bartels,Karin Dils,Greg Schott,and Ed Cole.
Motion Berner,second Richardson to approve previous printed minutes with addition that R-1 would be
agreeable to planning and zoning members in the northeast section of the city as discussed with Ed Cole
during the February meeting.
Ed Cole was present to visit with the members regarding a possible concept plan for the area on the
northeast corner of the city. Four-plexes of approximately 3,600 sq.ft is what Ed is considering for some
portions of this tract. Similar plexes are now in place in Idlewide in Iowa City and Village Green near
Southeast Junior High in Coralville. Ed will try to bring photos showing his plans for construction design.
Commission spend time on possible subdivision revisions that will provide for a new zoning district R2.5
that will provide for buildings that fall in specification somewhere between the current R-2 and the current` r '

Motion Richardson, second Berner to adjourn. Motio' carried. 8:0 .
