RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY APPRQVING THE RECOMMENDATION OF
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY THAT THE APPLICATION OF MARIE L. TORMEY
FOR CHANGE OF ZONE IN ZONE CASE NO. 62 -26 BE
DENIED.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS: .
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Temple
City on January 15, 1962, held a duly constituted public hear-
ing in regard to zone case No. 62 -26, being an application to
change the zone from R -A to R -3 upon that certain real property
located near the Northeast and Northwest corners of the inter-
section of Broadway and Sultana Streets in the City of Temple
City, which real property is legally described as follows:
Lots 18 and 19 Sunny View Tract, Map Book 13 -156,
Official Records of Los Angeles County.
and
WHEREAS, after due deliberation on the matter of said
zone case No. 62 -26, the Planning Commission adopted its reso-
lution recommending to the City Council denial of the requested
zone change,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple
City does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. There are no exceptional or extraordi-
nary circumstances applicable to the property of the applicant
Marie L. Tormey in zone case No. 62 -26 that do not apply
generally to the property or class of use in the same vicinity.
SECTION 2. That the granting of the change of zone
requested by the applicant will be injurious to the property
in the same vicinity, and not in accord with sound zoning
practice.
SECTION 3. The recommendation of the Planning Com-
mission to deny the applicant's request for change of zone is
expressly approved, AND IS HEREBY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 12th day of March, 1962.
