OCT. 21, 1998
The regular meeting of the Town Board was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Board present
were Mayor Johnston. Swatzell. Klancke. Sanders. Rantz and McIntyre. Staff present
were Reid. Trotter and Winter.
Minutes of Oct. 7th meeting were tabled.
IMPROVEMENT AWARDS
Mayor Jensen presented the top award winners for Garden`,site improvements. Winner of
the Business award was Jill and Tim Kinney. Residential award went to Nat Havens and
Stan Brooks. Mayor Jensen also read a list of the other winners receitina honorable
mention.
OPEN FORUM
Stuart Huster, member of the Housing Authority gave an update of progress of the
authority. Huster advised that a Director has been hired.
Lorr Quinn questioned the Board regarding the information being gathered with regards to
the moratorium. Staff provided information on the process that will result in a change to
Fraser's Zoning regulations.
ACTION ITEMS
Approval of Town of Fraser Fraser Cemetery Association Subdivision Exemption Plat.
Reid reviewed the history of the request and that the proposed documents will accomplish
satisfying the concerns of the Cemetery Assoc.
Brief discussion followed.
Swatzell made a motion to approve the Subdivision Exemption Plat. 2nd Sanders. caned.
Swatzell made a motion to adopt Ordinance 257. prodding for corneyance of a tract to
land and view easement to the Fraser Cemetery Association. 2nd Sanders. carried.
Resolution 10 -6 -98
Rantz made a motion to adopt Resolution 10-6-98 approving and IGA that creates
combined communications center senine Grand County. 2nd Mclntti•re. carried.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
Board rei-iewed the request from Pascal Wilson regarding a wet well. After lengthily
discussion. McIntyre made a motion to deny any participation in this matter. 2nd hlancke.
carried.
The next budget workshop will be Nov. 4th at 6:00 p.m.
Reid retiiew ed a progress work list to see if it accommodates what information the Board
would like from time to time.
Reid has set a meeting with Mar)vale to discuss water issues on Wed. Oct. 28th.
Reid will be attending class this coming weekend.
