RESOLUTION APPOINTING CERTIFIED
PUBLIC WORKS MANAGER
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:9-154.6 et seq. (the "Statute") requires municipalities to
designate a Certified Public Works Manager; and
WHEREAS, the Certified Public Works Manager must meet certain qualifications as
outlined in the Statute; and
WHEREAS, Theodore Surick currently serves as the Public Works Superintendent and
has obtained the requisite certification to serve as the Certified Public Works Manager.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. Theodore Surick is hereby designated as the Borough of Carteret's Certified
Public Works Manager.
2. That said designation shall be effective as of January 1, 1997 and shall terminate
upon the earlier of December 31, 1997; the designees removal from the position for
cause; or the designees loss of the required certification.
3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
Adopted this 19th day of June, 1997 and
certified as a true copy of the orignal on
June 20th, 1997.
