HomeMy Public PortalAbout192.1 - Housing and Community Development - Housing Rehabilitation - Organization and PolicyHousing Department Section 192.1 192.1 SUBJECT: HOUSING REHABILITATION - ORGANIZATION AND POLICY :1 OBJECTIVE: Provide technical and financial assistance, through grants and deferred loans for emergency housing repairs and housing rehabilitation to benefit very low-, low-, and moderate-income residents (owner occupants). :2 AUTHORITY: This procedure amended by City Council February 21, 2005, Item A7. :3 DIRECTION: Housing Development Program Manager under the supervision of the Housing Division Manager and the Housing Director. :4 FUNCTIONS: Solicit participation in the housing rehabilitation program, inspect properties for conformance to the City's Housing Code and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Housing Quality Standards, determine eligibility for financial assistance, prepare bid specifications, provide technical assistance to residents as requested, and monitor rehabilitation work. :5 FORMS: None. :6 COMMITTEE RESPONSIBILITIES: None. :7 REFERENCE: City Council action October 22, 1979, Item 11(T).
