A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZ-
ING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
FOR THE HOSPITALIZATION OF CITY JAIL
PRISONERS IN THE JAIL WARD OF THE COUNTY
GENERAL HOSPITAL.
WHEREAS, on November 13, 1961, the City Council adopted
Resolution No. 61 -174 authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to
execute an agreement with the County of Los Angeles for the
Hospitalization of City Jail Prisoners in the Jail Ward of
the County General Hospital, and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles withheld execution
of the particular contract subject to preparation of a stan-
dard agreement for all contract cities, and
WHEREAS, a standard contract has been prepared which
is substantially the same as that heretofore authorized for
execution, and
WHEREAS, for the sake of uniformity the County of Los
Angeles has requested execution of their form agreement in
respect to care of prisoners who require hospitalization,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple
City does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Resolution No. 61 -174 is hereby rescinded.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and the City Clerk of the City
of Temple City be and they are hereby authorized and directed
to execute for and on behalf of the City of Temple City that
certain agreement between the County of Los Angeles and the
City of Temple City, which agreement is attached to this
Resolution, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part of this
Resolution as though set forth in full.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 26th day of March, 1.62.
