Dear Governor McAuliffe:
The Leesburg Town Council respectfully requests that you continue to work with the Virginia
Senate and House of Delegates to adopt a budget for FY 2015 that includes Medicaid expansion.
"Marketplace Virginia" would recapture Leesburg tax dollars that would otherwise stay in
Washington, and would ensure that Leesburg residents caught in the "coverage gap"would
receive cost-efficient health insurance.
Delaying the budget is a serious issue for Leesburg and all localities, but now is the right time to
provide adequate health insurance for all of our residents. Therefore, we believe it is in the best
interest of the Commonwealth, and all Virginia citizens, for you and the General Assembly to
continue to take up the issue of Medicaid expansion within the current budget discussion for FY
2015.
