The Post Office has approved this placement s" of rural delivery boxes on Iris Ave. Karen Ruppert helped get this approved, but is now `i on medical leave and another post office employee has to oversee this change. t 1 g tiij'$: People apparently received notices around August 16 that they would have (I think) 2 :i€ +ii weeks to get boxes up for delivery. The person who oversees the 20 condos;up there 1); does not think that she can get 20 boxes up that fast and has requested additional time from the post office (and I think they did give her extra'time.) ;, `: 1i h s C In the meantime, the people who did want new boxes, got there box up. ,The person who :'?i Vii+ I r , has four condos has to cooperateFwith the fifth person across the street,,qo that boxes are ;! Neighbors may know '` II mail time, but public people, would not know mail time, and could causedelivery . 1;1 problems. For that reason, everyone up there seems to understand tha!the NO -ill' PARKING signs will probably go from the west side of the street over to the east side of i the street. 1 ., l The person who has a home with a water hydrant in his front yard is requesting that the r' l city not allow parking where the hydrant is and the total distance between the two 1 driveways on either side of the hydrant. This will mean the loss of one parking space on Iris Ave. Another solution suggested would be to place NO PARKING signs around the T mailboxes, this might mean 6 signs or 12 signs depending on what you have the signs ,i; say. There may be people present at the meeting to ask about solving this NO PARKING f problem on Iris Ave. These people all seem upset. .. " if : Rummelhart had weeds cut down, but they missed the lot next to the bank, the mower I'1 !' thinking that the bank owned it. I have called Rummelhart to let him know this lot was ii missed. Clarence also came in to see if the weeds on the east side of Iris Ave near the , court could be cut by Rummelhart. I have passed this word on. b;, ` Most of the junk looks gone to me. Members present: Steve Berner, Tina Walls, Terry Richardson, Melvin Reeve and Dave Shaffer. Absent: None. Also present: Mayor Glenn Potter, Council members Bartels and Dils. Motion Walls, second Richardson to approve the printed minutes and agenda. Ayes: Richardson, Walls, Berner, and Shaffer. Motion carried. Mick McGrew was present to talk about his plans for his lot on Marengo Road. Mick is not certain exactly which way he should move forward with the property. The clerk gave Mr. McGrew both zoning and subdivision worksheets for whatever request he may decide. Mr. McGrew asked if he could sell off a portion of the most easterly section of the property. P&Z explained that he could sell off a portion, however that would not allow anyone to use the property in a different zone that is at present. To make another use, the property would have to be rezoned. No action by Planning and Zoning. Motion Shaffer, second Walls to recommend approval of the Subdivision Ordinance amendment that provides for notification of all property owners within 200 feet of any subdivision request, and providing for provision for same. Ayes: Walls, Reeve, Richardson, Shaffer and Berner. Motion carried.
