RE: Relocation of the Loudoun County Animal Shelter
Dear Chairman York:
On behalf of the Leesburg Town Council, I would like to thank the Board of Supervisors for
responding to the concerns of our residents in the Kincaid Forest community. We appreciate the
Board's willingness to consider other locations for the proposed Loudoun County Animal Shelter
facility.
Although the County's Government Support Center site is centrally located within the county,
the proposed site creates additional construction costs to ensure appropriate buffering along with
noise and odor mitigation efforts.
As a result, the Council appreciates your consideration to evaluate other locations, and requests
the final site be located further away from existing residential neighborhoods.
