A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY PERTAINING TO
PROPOSED INCREASE OF CONTRACT SERVICE
COSTS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City, an incorporated municipal-
ity, has requested and received law enforcement services from the
Sheriff of the County of Los Angeles, and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has rendered such ser-
vices at a cost based on certain established cost factors, and
WHEREAS, it has been acknowledged that any changes in the
cost of contract services shall follow written notification to the
City, and
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City has received information
which would indicate a change in contract costs for Sheriff's service
appears imminent,
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City,
recommends to the Board of Supervisors:
1. Before any rate increase becomes effective that the
cost of providing services be audited and this in-
formation made available to City officials.
2. Prior to the establishment of rate changes that a rate
change meeting be held with City officials.
3. That no rate increase be effective until the aforemen-
tioned requests are granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of May, 1962.
