RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ANNEXATION TO CITY OF TEMPLE CITY OF
UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN
AND DESIGNATED "ANNEXATION N0. 4 -A,
WEST TEMPLE CITY, UNINHABITED ", AND
GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR
HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed
by owners of not less than one - fourth of the land in the herein-
after described territory, by area and by assessed value as shown
on the last equalized assessment roll of the County of Los Angeles,
was filed with the Council of the City of Temple City on June 5,
1962, requesting annexation of the hereinafter described territory
to said City.
SECTION 2. That the territory which the petitioners re-
quest to be annexed to the City of Temple City and which said City
and its Council propose to annex, is situated in the County of
Los Angeles, State of California, hereby designated "Annexation
No. 4 -A, West Temple City, Uninhabited ", and described in Exhibit
"A" hereto attached and made a part hereof by reference.
SECTION 3. That July 23, 1962, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. of
said day, at T664 E. Las Tunas Drive, City of Temple City, County
of Los Angeles, State of California, is hereby fixed as the time
and place when and where any person owning real property within
the uninhabited territory above described and proposed to be an-
nexed to the City of Temple City and having any objections to the
proposed annexation may appear before the Council of the City of
Temple City and show cause why such uninhabited territory should
not be filed at any time before the hour set for hearing objections
to the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or names of
the owner or owners of property affected and the description and
area of such property in general terms.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City
is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolu-
tion to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a
week, in the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general circulation
published in the City of Temple City and in the Pasadena Star News,
a newspaper of general circulation published outside the City of
Temple City but in the County of Los Angeles, California, the
county in which is located the territory proposed to be annexed to
the City of Temple City, said publibcation to be complete at least
twenty (20) days prior to the date set for hearing.
And the said City Clerk is further authorized and dir-
ected to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be
mailed to each person to whom land within the territory proposed
to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized county assessment
roll available on the date the above said proceedings were initiat-
ed, at the addresses shown on said assessment roll or known to
said Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address
and the designation of the lands in which he has an interest,
either legal or equitable, with said Clerk, such notice to be given
not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on
the proposed annexation;
And in the event any land within the territory proposed
to be annexed is owned by a county, the said City Clerk is directed
to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to the Board of Supervisors of such county, such notice to be given
not less than twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on
the proposed annexation;

And the said City Clerk is directed to cause written
notice to be given to such other persons as may be legally en-
titled thereto, in the manner required by law.
