RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY GRANTING A
ZONE VARIANCE TO OLIVIA F. PRICE TO
CONSTRUCT A SECOND BUILDING ON APPLI-
CANT'S LOT HAVING LESS THAN THE RE-
QUIRED SQUARE FOOTAGE AT 5036 NORTH
SULTANA AVE., TEMPLE CITY, SUBJECT TO
CERTAIN CONDITIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Olivia F. Price, hereinafter referred to as Appli-
cant, filed on or about April 13, 1962, an application for a zone vari-
ance, requesting a variance on her property located at 5036 N. Sultana
Ave., Temple City, to construct thereon (or have moved thereon) a se-
cond building; and
WHEREAS, the real property located at 5036 N. Sultana Ave.
Temple City, is presently zoned A -1 -5000; and
WHEREAS, Applicant's real property lacks the required square
footage; and
WHEREAS, on May 7, 1962, after notice duly given pursuant to
law, the Planning Commission held a Public Hearing upon, and thereupon
continued until May 21, 1962, and has duly deliberated on the merits of
the application for zone variance; and
WHEREAS, on May 21, 1962, the Planning Commission did by its
Resolution No. 62 -16 PC recommend the granting of the zone variance re-
quested subject to certain conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The granting of the variance requested by the
applicant to permit uge upon the subject real property which is now
zoned A -1 -5000 will not be detrimental to the public health, general
welfare and convenience of the community and will not be injurious to
the property in the same vicinity.
SECTION 2. The City Council does hereby grant the variance
as requested in Zone Case 62 -16 PC subject to the following conditions:
1. That the property be developed substantially in compli-
ance with the plot plan (as amended in pencil) on file
with the case, and in particular, the driveway shall be
constructed as shown by the said penciled amendment on
the plot plan.
2. That the Applicant agree that the Applicant's property
be counted on any petition as being in favor of dedica-
tion of Sultana Avenue to the City of Temple City as a
public street.
3. That in the event the property owners on the easterly
side of Sultana between the northerly line of Lot 32,
Tract No. 14983, Official Records of Los Angeles County,
and E. Ecaso Street shall determine to dedicate said
street, the applicant shall, without charge to the City,
dedicate twenty -five feet of frontage from her property
to the City of Temple City for all street and roadway
purposes.
4. That the variance, if approved by the City Council, shall
not be effective for any purpose until the owner of the

property involved has filed with the City Clerk of
Temple City her affidavit stating that she is aware of
and accepts all of the conditions of the variance as
granted.
