Members present: Steve Berner, Sandy Hudepohl, Terry Richardson and Melvin Reeve. Absent: Mark Petersen. Also present: Mayor Glenn Potter, Councilmember Jim Bartels and Karin Dils. • Correction to November 6, 2002 Planning and Zoning Commission minutes included: "motion to approve markings, use of caution flasher and crossing stop sign for Highway6 if the school can provide personnel for use from 8:00- 8:30 am and 3:15 —3:30 pm of schooldays"be changed to "motion to recommend that markings, use of caution flasher and crossing stop sign for Hwy6 if the school can provide personnel for use from 8:00- 8:30 am and 3:15 —3:30pm of schooldays." Also corrected is 330 Main be changed to 341 Main Street. Motion Richardson, second Hudepohl to approve printed minutes with corrections. Ayes: Hudepohl, Richardson, Reeve and Berner: Motion carried. Mark Pigenot of Trees Forever visited with members and audience regarding Living Roadways Grant that he will help the city with this next year. The grant is awarded could provide up to $15,000 for native grass and flowering plants for the city. It is possible that work could begin next spring. Motion Reeve, second Hudepohl to recommend approval of Johnson County application S02061, a request from Troy Liddell for preliminary and final plat of Liddell Acres, a subdivision described as being located in the SW '/4 of Section 15; Township 80 North; Range 7 West of the 5th PM in Johnson County, Iowa(a 1-lot 2.20 acre, Farmstead Split located on the south side of 270th St NW approximately 1/4 mile east of its intersection with James Ave NW in Madison Twp.) Ayes: Hudepohl, Reeve, Berner and Richardson. Absent: Petersen. Motion carried. Subdivision request papers have not yet been received from George Klein. His request will be passed to upcoming month or such time as application is received by city. Mayor Potter received a sketch showing building design plans for a change from garage to resident dwelling north of 221 Main Street. The building permit and interior design drawings have been received, the city is waiting for sketch showing lot lines and dimensions, building plotting and placement on lot including setbacks.
