MTN Government Services Expands in Leesburg
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at New Location
Scheduled for Thursday, April 29, 2010
Leesburg, VA (April 20, 2010) – At 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2010, Town of Leesburg
officials will hold a ribbon cutting for the new, expanded location of MTN Government Services
in the Leesburg Commerce Center at 161 Fort Evans Road NE, Suite 220. MTN Government
Services was formerly located at 210 Wirt Street SW in downtown Leesburg.
Since 1986, MTN Government Services has provided global communications to the maritime
and transportable communications community. Formerly Maritime Communications Network,
the company was acquired by SeaMobile Enterprises in June 2006, integrating MTN
Government Services’ core Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) services with SeaMobile’s
broad‐based suite of wireless communications services.
MTN Government Services offers a comprehensive range of communications solutions to
government and commercial users, designed to meet the most intricate communications
requirements with turnkey, end‐to‐end solutions, integrated technologies and adaptable
service alternatives. Services include solutions for legacy voice, VOIP, data, internet and
compressed video utilizing state‐of‐the‐art VSAT technologies.
A pioneer in transportable and mobile VSAT technology, MTN Government Services designed,
delivered and installed the first transmit‐and‐receive stabilized antenna system to the United
States Navy. Approached by the Pentagon in 1986, MTN Government Services successfully
demonstrated that the advances in communication technology could provide reliable, VSAT
service from a warship at sea with unprecedented bandwidth and reliability. Those early days
led to the highly successful and fully implemented Challenge ATHENA Project which serves the
