RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FOOD PANTRY PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough") are
committed to improving the scope and quality of municipal services; and
WHEREAS, an opportunity has been created to establish a food pantry through the
volunteer efforts of Mrs. Sharon Bartkovich, Director of Client Services for Doctor's
MediCenter and the Salvation Army Service Unit - Carteret Branch, as well as the
efforts of the Borough's Welfare Department; and
WHEREAS, the food pantry would provide much needed assistance to an important
segment of the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. The Carteret Welfare Department is hereby authorized to participate
in the es!ablishment of a Carteret Food Pantry in cooperation with
community volunteers interested in serving the citizens of the Borough.
Adopted this 17th day of July, 1997
and certified as a true copy of the
original on February 18, 1997.
