AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968 COMMONLY KNOWN AS
THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED
JUNE 3, 1968.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS the Zoning Map which is a part of Ordinance
No. 2325-1968, designates and describes as R-4 Multi -Family
Residence District, the following properties:
1. 1019 North "A" Street
2. 28 North llth Street
3. 30 North llth Street
4. 34 North llth Street
5. 38 North llth Street
Lots 212, 213, 214 and 215 except 45 feet off of west
end of Lot 215.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to
change the zoning classification of the above described area
from R-4 Multi -Family Residence District to C-3 Central Business
District.
SECTION 3. WHEREAS, study of this Ordinance was conducted by the
Richmond City Plan Commission the a day of ]1:1�e , 1977,
at which time remonstrances were heard from all parties interested
in or affected by this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission
was r to 0 in favor of/' o recommending the
passage of Ordinance No. 3201-1977.
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 5. It is hereby ordained that the zoning classification of
the above described property be, and the same is hereby changed to
C-3 Central Business District, and that said property be regulated
in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, and all amendments thereto.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval as by law required.
SECTION 7. The original zoning classification of the aforementioned
area is hereby rescinded and the zoning classification of this area
will be in accordance with Section 2 of this Ordinance.

Re: Ordinance No. 3201-1977 - Richmond City Plan Commission; Robert
Goodwin, Executive Secretary, requesting rezoning from R-4
Multi -Family Resident District to C-3 Central Business District
Dear Mr. Carter, Members of the Council and Mrs. Trimble:
The Richmond City Plan Commission held a public hearing on Tuesday,
May 24, 1977, at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the Richmond
Municipal Building to hear the request of the Plan Commission re-
questing rezoning from R-4 Multi -family Resident District to C-3
Central Business District on the following properties:
1019 North "A" Street
28 North llth Street
30 North 11th Street
34 North 11th Street
38 North 11th Street
There were no remonstrators in favor of or in opposition to this re-
quest.
The Plan Commission voted unanimously, nine (9) to zero (0), in favor
of this rezoning.
