Members present: Steve Berner and Melvin Reeve. No quorum. Also present: Mayor Glen R. Potter, Council Karin Dils and Council Jim Bartels. Dils presented a proposed zoning ordinance to members for consideration and study to be placed on next agenda. Dils presented mapping that shows possible placement of drainage ponds for the City of Tiffin for future development requirements. Placed under study for the next commission meeting. Drainage region considered by members. Clerk Reihman presented information on sharing development costs as learned from City of North Liberty for commission consideration. The school has contacted the city regarding fire hydrant requirements in the area of the new school building under construction. A copy of the Design Standards for the City of Tiffin have been sent to the architects of the project. Mayor Potter has signed a letter to the Clear Creek Amana School requesting that sprinkling system be installed in the new building as this is current policy in such communities as North Liberty and Iowa City. Superintendent Okerberg estimates cost of a water sprinkling system at near $6,000 to $8,000 and the full cost of the entire building somewhere near $600,000.00. Margaret B.
