THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS

AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE OFFICE OF
DEPUTY CITY CLERK FOR THE CITY OF
BEL AIRE, KANSAS AND PRESCRIBING THE
DUTIES THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE,
KANSAS:
Section 1.
Deputy City Clerk Created
There is hereby created for the City of Bel Aire, Kansas, the
office of Deputy City Clerk which shall report directly to the City
Administrator. The Deputy City Clerk is an officer of the City of
Bel Aire, Kansas as defined in K.S.A. 15-204 and thus subject to
annual reappointment. However, if the duties of said office are of
a part time nature, the office may be filled by an employee of the
city and annual reappointment shall not effect the status or duties
of said employee in his/her other capacity.
Section 2.
Deputy City Clerk Duties
The Deputy City Clerk shall have such duties as prescribed by
the City Policy Manual and such other duties as may be directed and
assigned by the City Administrator. The Deputy City Clerk shall
further assume the authority and duties of the City Clerk in the
absence of the City Clerk.
Section 3.
Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its publication in the official city newspaper.
