Motion by Werkman second by Lindaman to approve the agenda. All ayes. Carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Van Heiden to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. All ayes. Carried. Motion by Werkman second by Lindaman to approve the treasurer’s report for July. All ayes. Carried. Motion by Van Heiden second by Nielsen to approve the following bills for payment. All ayes. Greg Riebkes, Wellsburg Library Board, presented information regarding the summer reading program. Motion by Lindaman second by Werkman to purchase a tarp for the sewer plant. All ayes. Carried. Motion by Werkman second by Nielsen for Leon Abels to attend the Carte Graph Conference in Dubuque. All ayes. Carried. Motion by Lindaman second by Werkman to approve the following building permits: Snittjer Grain, Panama Transfer, Sheldon Groote, and Mitch Koch. All ayes. Carried. Clarissa Nichols, INRCOG, presented information regarding the Hazard Mitigation Plan. Motion by Werkman second by Nielsen to approve Resolution 8-03 a resolution amending the contract for the preparations of a local hazard mitigation plan between the City of Wellsburg and the Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments and commit additional local match. Roll call of votes. All ayes. Carried. Neil Okones, Day Care Committee requested help from the City regarding entrance to the parking lot at the new day care center. Motion by Nielsen second by Lindaman to pay the cost of the concrete for the sidewalk and driveway area. All ayes. Carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Werkman to adjourn. All ayes.
