Leesburg Summer Farmers Market Opens
for the Season on Saturday, May 1, 2010
Leesburg, VA (April 26, 2010) – At 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2010, Town of Leesburg
officials will hold a ribbon cutting for the Loudoun Valley HomeGrown Markets Association’s
Leesburg Summer Farmers Market in the Virginia Village Shopping Center on Catoctin Circle SE
in Leesburg.
The Loudoun Valley HomeGrown Markets Association provides “producer‐only” markets at
which all of the products sold are raised and grown by the vendors themselves. When
consumers buy their fruits, vegetables, meats and eggs at local farmers markets, not only are
they getting the very freshest produce possible, they are also supporting local agriculture. For

The Leesburg Summer Farmers Market will be open every Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00
noon, in the parking lot of the Virginia Village Shopping Center from May through October.
