Tiffm Planning and Zoning Commission November 5, 2003
A regular meeting of the Tiffm Planning and Zoning Commission was brought to order

by Chair Steve Berner at 6:30 p.m. at the Tiffm Fire Station on Wednesday,November 5,
2003. Members present: Chair Steve Berner, Terry Richardson, Stephanie Surine. Mark
Peteresen arrived 6:37 p.m. Absent: Melvin Reeve. Also present: Mayor Glenn Potter,
Sandy Huedepohl, Karin Dils, Jim Bartels arrived 6:40 p.m.
Letter from City of Iowa City regarding 28-E for growth agreement. Discussion by
members. Mark Peteresen arrived at 6:37 p.m. Jim Bartels arrived at 6:40 p.m.
Motion Richardson, second Petersen to recommend that the city council express
appreciation for the interest extended by the City of Iowa City for a 28-E agreement,
however there is probably little interest in this kind of agreement at this time. Ayes:
Richardson, Petersen, Berner and Surine. Absent: Reeve. Motion carried.
Chad Freeman has dropped interest in resubdivison of the McGrew parcel, and is no
longer making this request. Attorney Greenleaf has indicated that subdividing the Lot
would not be allowed under city ordinance.
Petersen voiced concern about getting sidewalks in around the city where they are
missing. Motion Petersen, second Berner to recommend that city attorney notify
sidewalk locations for completion. Ayes: Surine, Berner, Richardson, and Peteresen.
Motion carried.
Continue study of zoning ordinance.
Motion Peterson, second Richardson to adjourn. Motion carried. 7:00 p.m.
