Tiffin Planning and Zoning Commission March 3, 2004
A regular meeting of the Tiffm Planning and Zoning Commission was brought to order
by Chair Steve Berner at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at the Tiffm Fire Station.
Members present: Terry Richardson, Steve Berner, Stephanie Surine,Ruth DeMuth and
Melvin Reeve. Absent: None. Also present: Mayor Glenn R. Potter, Jim Bartels and
Karin Dils.
Members spent time reviewing a proposed residential zoning ordinance. Discussion in
adding a zoning designation for multiple family units in excess of 8 units. Adding under
intent of the Ordinance, to protect water quality and safety and intent to separate possible
hazardous material zones from vicinity of zones where children might be more
predominant. Both additions for the safety of residents residing in the community.
Discussion regarding number of family members within any one household. No apparent
manner of limiting house members could be determined by the members.
Members will continue ordinance study. •
Motion Surine, second DeMuth to adjourn. Motion carried 7:15 p.m.

A regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council was brought to order by Chair Steve Berner
at 6:30 p.m. at the Tiffin Fire Station. Members present: Steve"Berner, Terry
Richardson, Ruth DeMuth, Melvin Reeve and Stephanie Surine. Absent: None.
Discussion and study of zoning ordinance was continued by the members. No action.
Motion Surine, second Richardson to adjourn. Motion carried. 7:10 p.m.
