RESOLUTION: 2011 -34
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CLOSING OF ROBIN COURT FOR THE ANNUAL
BLOCK PARTY ON August 13, 2011
WHEREAS: a request has been made by residents of Robins Ct to close the street on
Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 5:OOPM to midnight for the annual Block Party and Potluck.
WHEREAS: The City Council upon reviewing, the Special Events Application presented
from the residents, find no reason to prevent the Block Party.
WHEREAS:The residents will use their own vehicles to block off the entrances to Robins
Court from Nightingale Dr. on the south and Blue Jay Ct on the north end.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: THE City Council approves the request to allow closure of
Robins Court on Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 5:00 pm to Midnight for the ANNUAL Block
Party.
On this 10th day of August 2011, at a regular meeting of Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Council person Travis Weipert introduced Resolution 2011 -34 and made a motion for
approval. The motion was seconded by Council person Mike Gericke.
AYES: Chris Ball, Jim Bartels, Mike Gericke, Mark Petersen, Travis Weipert
NAYS: None
ABSENT: None
WHEREUPON, Five votes approved, Mayor Phillips declared that Resolution 2011 -34 A
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CLOSING OF ROBINS COURT FOR THE ANNUAL
BLOCK PARTY ON AUGUST 13, 2011.be adopted and signified his approval of the same by
affixing his signature thereto.
PASSED, AND APPROVED THIS 10TH DAY OF August 2011.
