RESOLUTION GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOS-
ED ANNEXATION TO CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED
HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "ANNEXATION MU.
5 -4 NORTHEAST TEMPLE CITY, UNINHABITED':
AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR
HEARING OF•PROTESTS THERETO
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RE-
SOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That, Pursuant to the nrovIsiors of the Annexa-
tion of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1139, a netition signed by owners
of not less than one - fourth of the land in the hereinafter described
territory, by area and by assessed value as shown on the last equalized
assessment roll of the County of Los Angeles, was Filed with the Counci
of the City of Temple City on August 7, 10.62, requesting annexation of
the hereinafter described territory to said City.
SECTION 2. That the territory which the petitioners request
to be annexed to the City of Temple City and which said City and its
Council propose to annex, is situated in the County of Los Angeles,
State of California, hereby designated "Annexation No. 5 -A, Northeast
Temple City, Uninhabited ", and described in Exhibit "A" hereto attach-
ed and made a part hereof by reference.
SECTION 3. That October 22, 1962, at 8 :00 o'clock P. M. of
said day, at 9664 E. Las Tunas Drive, City of Temple City, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, is hereby fixed as the time and place
when and where any person owning real property within the uninhabited
territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of
Temple City and having any objections to the proposed annexation may
appear before the Council of the City of Temple City and show cause
why such uninhabited territory should not be filed at any time before
the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, and
shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of property af-
fected and the description and area of such property in general terms.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City is
hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to
be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the
Temple City Times, a newspaper of general circulation published in the
City of Temple City, said publication to be complete at least twenty
(20) days prior to the date set for hearing.
SECTION 5. That the subject real property is contiguous to
the City of Temple City; that said territory is presently included
within another city, to wit, the City of Arcadia; that pursuant to
Section 35305 of the Government Code of the State of California, the
City of Arcadia has by resolution consented to the detachment from the
City of Arcadia and its annexation to the City of Temple City.
The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be
given to such persons as may be legally entitled thereto, in the manner
required by law.
