Tiffm Planning and Zoning September 1, 2004 A regular'meeting of the Tiffm Planning and Zoning Commission was brought to order Wednesday, September 1, 2004 by Chair Steve Berner at 6:30 p.m. in the Tiffm Fire Station. Members present: Steve Berner, Terry Richardson, Stephanie Surine, Melvin Reeve and Ruth DeMuth. Absent: None. Also present: Mayor Glenn Potter, Karin Dils - and Jim Bartels. Motion Richardson, second Reeve to approve the printed minutes and agenda. Ayes: DeMuth, Surine;Reeve, Richardson and Berner. Motion carried. A request has been received from John Schneider and Frank and Nancy Schneider for a subdivision request along Jasper Avenue of 1.2 acres. Schneider indicated that road work would be completed by Schneider, including utility easements and well and septic to be replaced with city services when the city reaches that area. Schneider was asked to confer with the city engineer on this request. Motion Surine,second Richardson to recommend approval of the subdivision request subject to review and recommendation on needed items as indicated by city engineer and city attorney for this Forest Ridge Subdivision request of 1.2 acres located west of Jasper Avenue and north of I-80. Ayes: Reeve, DeMuth, Surine, Reeve and Richardson. Motion carried. George Klein was present to request about annexation and rezoning of a 30 acre parcel on the south edge of the city. George is expecting 2 or 3 familes to want parcels. Motion ,Berner, second Reeve to accept request from George Klein for annexation of 30 acres on the south end of the city, and to provide additional information in this request for consideration. Ayes: Surine, DeMuth,Reeve, Richardson and Berner. Motion carried. Jim Bartels explained that the school is looking for 12 acres for a new elementary, 30 acres for a middle school and 45 acres for a high school.
