RESOLUTION CORRECTING ACCOUNTING LEDGER CONCERNING
MISC REVENUE-GENERAL 001-950-4700 AND
CABLE FRANCHISE FEE REVENUE 001-950-4160
WHEREAS,the recent FY 2016 audit by the State of Iowa found that Cable Franchise Fees should not be
posted as Miscellaneous Revenue.
WHEREAS, FY 2017 and FY 2018 Cable Franchise Fees were budgeted as Miscellaneous Revenue.
WHEREAS, the ledger error can be corrected by transferring the funds received for cable franchise fees in FY
2017 from the 001-950-4700 MISC REVENUE-GENERAL to the 001-950-4160 CABLE FRANCHISE FEE
REVENUE account;
WHEREAS, the ledger error can be corrected by transferring budgeted estimate of$4000 Franchise Fees for FY
2018 from the 001-950-4700 MISC REVENUE-GENERAL to the 001-950-4160 CABLE FRANCHISE FEE
REVENUE account
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa authorizes the
transfer to correct the ledger error by transferring all revenue received for Cable Franchise Fees from the 001-
950-4700 MISC REVENUE-GENERAL to the 001-950-4160 CABLE FRANCHISE FEE REVENUE account.
This Resolution shall take immediate effect.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED THIS 25th day of July, 2017.
