Tiffin Planning and Zoning October 6, 2004
A regular meeting of the Tiffin Planning and Zoning Commission was brought to order
by Chair Steve Berner at 6:30 p.m. at the Tiffin Fire Station. Members present:' Steve
Berner, Stephanie Surine;Ruth DeMuth. Absent: Terry Richardson and Melvin Reeve.
Also present: Mayor Glenn Potter, Jim Bartels and Karin Dils.
Motion Surine, second DeMuth to approve printed minutes. Ayes: Berner, Surine, and.
DeMuth. Absent: Richardson and Reeve: Motion carried.
John Schneider present to answer questions on subdivision request. Hart Frederick
Engineer review was studied by members. Berner-asked why the proposed street was
drawn at an angle. John will`check into the city requests before the city council meeting.
Motion Surine, second DeMuth to recommend approval of the Schneider°Subdivision to
the city council with the engineer review inclusions added to platting plans. Ayes:
Surine, Berner, and DeMuth. Absent: Reeve and Richardson. Motion carried.
Members reviewed updated information on annexation request received from George
Klein. Motion Berner, second DeMuth to recommend that the city study agreement with
request for annexation as outlined by engineer review and with rezoning request. Ayes:
Surine, DeMuth and Berner. Absent: Reeve and Richardson. Motion carried..,
Dils reported nearing completion at the Tiffin Industrial Park`on Ireland-Avenue.
Reseeded and more work has taken place in the'pond area'of Rolling Hills II.
Bartels reported school meeting taking place tomorrow evening on building facilities.
Motion Surine, second DeMuth to adjourn. Motion carried. 7:20`p.m.
