HomeMy Public PortalAbout3215-1977- APPROPRIATE REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUNDORDINANCE NO. 3215-.1977 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE FROM THE FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND. WHEREAS,.The State and Local Fiscal Assistance Art of 1972, Title I of Public Law 95-512 was approved October 20, 1972. WHEREAS, Section 51.40 of Part 51, Chapter I, Subtitle B, Title B, Title 31 of the Code of Federal Regulations provides as follows: A recipient Government which receives entitlement funds under the Act shall: (c) Provide for.the expenditure of entitlement funds in accordance with the laws and procedures applicable to the expenditure of its own revenues; WHEREAS, persuant to the said State and Local Fiscal Assistance Act, the proper legal officers of the City of Richmond, Indiana, have established a trust fund known as the Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund, WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE COUNTY, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of said municipal corporation, the following additional sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund for certain ordinary and necessary capital expenditures, said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND $1001000.00 $100,000.00 TOTAL $100,000.00 $100,000.00 These funds are to be appropriated for the following project:. Packers (Sanitary District) SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall. be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. INDIANA The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City June 6, 1977 , at the hour of 7.30 p.im. . Councilman Carter presided with the following members present: Messrs. Ahaus. ,77-TeTman , Cornett Elstro , Merchanthouse , Mills , Paust , Williams , Absent: None , The following business was had to -wit: (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) The Clerk presented proof of publication of Notice to Taxpayers printed in the Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of May 19 and May 26 Said notices stated that a public hea�n`g would be held on the M, day of June 1977 by the Common Council to consider additionTppropria- i ons as provirsTror, in Ordinance No. 32IS-1977 , within the City of Richmond, Indiana. The proof of publication posting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Mills moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be received and or ered filed, seconded by Councilman Paust and on voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 3215-1977 . Councilman Mills moved for. engrossment of Ordinance No. 3215-1977, seconded by Councilman Paust and on unanimous: voice vote the motion was carried. Councilman. Mills moved to suspend the rules and place Ordinance No. 3215-1977 on third reading by title only, seconded by Councilman Paust. After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. 3215-1977 was placed on final passage or rejection and on a call of the roll the following was recorded: ryes; Ahaus , Austerman Carter Cornett Mills , Paust Williams Noes; Ejs tro , Merchantho-use , Absent: —One The vote�ng �7 to 2 n9favor of passage of 00naO 116. -1977• (OTHER BUSINESS HAD) There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed, the meeting was adjourned.
