A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY INDI-
CATING INTEREST IN A FACILITY FOR
COMMUNITY ASSEMBLAGE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City contains approximately 38,000 people, an
the adjacent unincorporated territory a far greater number, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that a facility for youth and
adult recreation meetings be provided in the community, and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles is interested in pro-
viding these facilities for the population of the unincorporated
territory of the County, and
WHEREAS, it would appear advantageous for the County of
Los Angeles and the City of Temple City to consider this matter
jointly,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple Cit3
does further resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. It is in the public interest to provide
facilities for youth and adult recreation within the City and
surrounding unincorporated territory, and the City desires to
consider this matter with the County of Los Angeles.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to
initiate discussions with the County of Los Angeles concerning
this subject.
