Motion to authorize the issuance of Sign Permits pursuant to Zoning Ordinance
Section 15.6.4 Unusual Site Constraints for the Comfort Suites and Red Roof Inn
Hotels situated on E Market Street and Prosperity Avenue SE to include the five
additional findings which include (1) where the Red Roof Inn hotel obscures the view
of the Comfort Suites hotel from East Market Street, and (2) where the specialized use
of the properties is transient lodging, and (3) where the customers of this specialized
use may not be familiar with the business’ location, and (4) where access to the
subject properties is not at a signalized intersection, and (5) where the subject
properties are under common ownership, and (6) if one or both of the properties is
sold that it is reviewed by Council or staff.
