A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING the PURCHASE OF A 2020 FORD F-550 SUPER
DUTY DUMP TRUCK USING CAPITAL ASSET REPLACEMENT
FUNDS
WHEREAS,the purchase of a new Ford F-550 Super Duty dump truck was included in the
approved Fiscal Year 2020 budget; and
WHEREAS,the current truck is 11 years old and in poor condition; and
WHEREAS, the existing piece of equipment has reached a point where it is not cost
effective to keep in the Town's fleet inventory; and
WHEREAS,there is a rideable contract available to procure this equipment; and
WHEREAS, the budget established for the replacement equipment is sufficient for the
purchase; and
WHEREAS,no additional funding is needed.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Town Manager is hereby authorized to proceed with the purchase of the new Ford F-550 Super
Duty truck in the amount of$103,132.64.
