AUTHORIZING REJECTION OF BID AND READVERTISEMENT FOR
NEW BIDS FOR SKATE PARK EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has previously solicited bids for skate park
equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Borough received only one (1) bid for said equipment from
General Recreation, Inc., P.O. Box 400, Newton Square, Pennsylvania 19073, in the
amount of $40,500.00; and
WHEREAS, questions were raised regarding the specifications used by the Borough
to solicit said bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and :Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
1. That the said bid of General Recreation, Inc P.O. Box 400, Newton
Square, Pennsylvania 19073 in the amount of $40, 500.00 is hereby
rejected.
2. That the appropriate Borough officials are hereby authorized to
prepare bid specifications and contract documents and to re-advertise
for receipt of bids for skate park equipment.
Adopted this 17th day of November, 2003 and
certified as true copy of the original on
November 18, 2003.
