Tree Board Minutes | 2 of 2
Trueblood shared videos could be more casual and taken on cell phones or more formal and produced
through the Public Information Office.
Harris said interns are working with the Master Gardener to produce videos about managed natural
landscapes.
Stuart offered to contribute a herpetologist’s perspective to those videos.
Others thoughts that would be helpful.
Logue shared that he had taken photos of ivy-infested trees in preparation for a video about that. There was
brief discussion about painting the cut ivy stump with herbicide.
Trueblood reminded the members to practice what they want to say so that the videos do not run longer than
two minutes. Short demonstrations are eye-catching.
Logue offered to volunteer his time to cut some of the ivy vines on town property. Trueblood said that would
be great. Harris and Waters offered to help.
The board discussed leaving fallen leaves in place, using them as mulch or mowing over them.
