AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1800-1960 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE
SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
SECTION I. WHEREAS, it is the intent of this Ordinance to provide
for the installation of street light conduit, splice boxes and light
bases, by the developer, at the time street improvements are originally
installed to permit more economical installation of street lights when
the development has grown enough to warrant them, and,
SECTION II. WHEREAS, Article III Section IX and Article III Section
X of Ordinance No. 1800-1960 shall become Article III Section X and
Section XI respectively and the following shall constitute Article
III Section IX of Ordinance No. 1800-1960:

The developer shall provide for street lighting in
the subdivision with the installation of conduit,
light bases and splice boxes with all conduit to be
free and clear of any obstruction when pulling cable.
Conduit, light bases and splice boxes shall meet
specifications as set forth by Richmond Power and
Light Company.
Spacing of lights shall be as set forth in the most
recent edition of the Illuminating Engineering Society
handbook.
A lighting plan for the subdivision must be approved
by Richmond Power and Light Company prior to receiv-
ing final plat approval from the Richmond City Planning
Commission, and,
SECTION III. WHEREAS, a study of this Ordinance was conducted by the
Richmond City Planning Commission the day of , 1977,
at which time remonstrances were heard from all parties interested
in or affected by this Ordinance, and,
SECTION IV. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Planning Commission
was to in favor of/in opposition to recommending the
passage of Ordinance No. 3228-1977.
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION V. This 'Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval as by law required.
