A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY SUPPORTING ANNEXATION OF THE
UPPER SAN GABRIEL VALLEY MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT TO THE METROPOLITAN
WATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERN CALIFOR-
NIA.
WHEREAS, a reliable and abundant water supply of good
quality is a primary requirement for continued growth and devel-
opment of the Upper San Gabriel Valley, and
WHEREAS, the Upper San Gabriel Valley Water Association
has unanimously endorsed the final report on a supplemental
water supply by Engineer Thomas M. Stetson to the effect that
needed additional water can be obtained at lesser cost through
annexation to The Metropolitan Water District of Southern cali-
fornia, and
WHEREAS, the Upper San Gabriel Valley Water Association
is an organization whose sole function is to foster and promote
the best interests of water users in the Upper San Gabriel Val-
ley, of which Temple City is a part;, and
WHEREAS, the decision of the Upper San Gabriel Valley
Water Association can be relied upon to accurately reflect the
best interests of Temple City in the premises,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Temple City, as follows:
1. That the recommendation of the Upper San Gabriel
Valley Water Association that the Upper San Gabriel

Valley Water District annex to The Metropolitan
Water District of Southern California be approved
and supported,
2, That the City Manager execute a copy of this reso-
lution on behalf of the City of Temple City and
cause a copy of same to be delivered to the Upper
San Gabriel Valley Water Association.
