AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2008 BUDGET
WHEREAS, Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana adopted a budget for
calendar year 2008 on September 27th, 2007 with Ordinance 45-2007; and
WHEREAS, Common Council has determined it necessary to transfer money from one major
budget classification to another within a department or office; and
WHEREAS, the transfer does not require the expenditure of more money than the total
amount set out in the budget as finally determined under Indiana Code 6-1.1-1-1
et seq.; and
WHEREAS, this transfer may be made under Indiana Code 6-1.1-18-6 without notice and
without the approval of the Department of Local Government Finance.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the 2008 budget be amended as follows:
A. General Fund - Law Department
1. Delete $6,250.00 from Regular Salaries
Account number 10 1. 05.05 0.110.000.1196
2. Delete $1,350.00 from Social Security
Account number 10 1. 05.05 0.110.000.1220
3. Delete $300.00 from Medicare Insurance
Account number 10 1. 05.05 0.110.000.1222
4. Delete $1,000.00 from PERF
Account number 101.05.050.110.000.1230
5. Add $5,372.00 to Litigation
Account number 10 1. 05.05 0.110.000.3 121
5. Add $3,528.00 to Contract Services
Account number 10 1. 05.05 0.110.000.3 990
