AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PURCHASE OF 2004 CHEVROLET
IMPALA/UNMARKED POLICE PACKAGE
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret requires a new 2004 Chevrolet Impala/Unmarked
Police Package to serve the residents of the community; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has solicited and received two bid proposals
for the pumhase of the vehicle as follows:
1. Kelle Chevrolet $19,969.00
2. WamockMotor Sales $19,779.00
3. Multi-Chev, Inc. $18,014.00
WHEREAS, Multi Chev., Inc. submitted the lowest bid for said equipment as evidenced
by the response on file with the Borough Purchasing Agent; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purchase; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has reviewed the above bid proposals and
has recommended the award of a contract to Multi-Chev., Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret as follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with Multi-Chev., Inc. to furnish one (1) 2004
Chevrolet Im~ala/Llnmarked Police Package for the sum of $18,014.00 in
accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and bid on same.
