AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE FROM CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND (CIGARETTE TAX)
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the
existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the
various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, WAYNE
COUNTY, INDIANA:
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for
the year ending December 31, 1977, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated
and set apart out of the fund -named and for the purpose specified. Said sum being
subject to the law governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to
include all expenditures to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from
Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund (Cigarette Tax) the following specified amount
to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist:

These funds are to be appropriated for the following:

WILLIAMSBURG PIKE
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana
governing emergency appropriations.

COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA
The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular session
1n the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building of said City Au�us„t1,

The Clerk presented proof of publication of notice to Taxpayers printed in the
Richmond Palladium Item, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Richmond, Indiana, on the dates of g and
Said notices stated that a public hearing would be held on the _yam Jay off'

examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Mills
moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be ecefvel and o red
filed, seconded by Councilman Paus.t , and on voice vote the motion
was carried.

Councilman Mills moved for engrossment of Ordinance No. 3242-1977,
seconded By Councilman Cornett and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried':.
Councilman Mills moved to suspend the rules and place Ordinance No.
3242-1977 on third reading by title only, seconded by Councilman Paust.
After hearing all persons present, Ordinance No. was placed on
final passage or rejection and on a call of the ro e o owing was recorded.
