Town of Leesburg Offers Free WiFi Service at Thomas Balch
Library and Ida Lee Park Recreation Center
Leesburg, VA (May 18, 2010) – The Town of Leesburg now provides free WiFi service to facility
patrons of the Thomas Balch Library and Ida Lee Park Recreation Center. The WiFi service,
utilizing Comcast High Speed Internet Services, is available during the facilities’ regular
operating hours. Patrons must obtain a wireless access key code from the front desk staff at
each facility to access the WiFi networks.
“We’ve had many requests for WiFi service from the patrons of these two Town facilities,”
explained Wendy Wickens, the Town’s Director of Information Technology. “We are really
pleased to be able to respond to those requests with this new service.”
The cost to the Town for the WiFi service is approximately $60 per month at each location.
Comcast provided free installation of the WiFi networks. For more information about the WiFi
