AN ORDINANCE: follows: TOWN OF LEESBURG IN LOUDOUN COUNTY, VIRGINIA 78-0-19 PRESENTED June 28, 1978 AMENDED June 28~ 1978 ADOPTED June 28, 1978 AMENDING SECTIONS 12.1-10, 12.1-15 and 12.1-17(e) OF THE TOWN CODE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg, Virginia, as SECTION I. Section 12.1-10 of the Town Code, the Classification of Town Employees by Occupational Group and Pay Grades, is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 12.1-10. Classification of Town employees by occupational groups and pay grades. Section 12.1-15 of the To~nu Code, being the pay grades for compen- sation of employees in the town service, is hereby amended to read as follows for the purpose of providing a five percent pay increase for all full-time employees of the tov~: Sec. 12.1-15. Step Increment is 5~ (rounded to $50) SECTION III. follows: (e) (1) Section 12.1-17(e) of the Town Code is hereby amended to read as Overtime: Ail employees except department heads shall receive overtime pay or, at the discretion of the Town l,~nager, compensatory time off for time worked -3- (calculated to the nearest 15 minutes) in excess of 80 hours per bi-~eekly pay- roll period. Overtime pay shall be at the rate of one and one-half times regular pay. Compensatory time shall be earned at the rate of one and one-half hour for each overti~e hour worked. For purposes of determining overtime, time spent on authorized paid leave shall be counted as time ~.~orked. (2) All ~nployees called to work outside their regular work hours shall reveive credit for at least one hour's work except employees assigned town vehicles on a 24-hour basis ~ho shall not be credited for the first hour of any call back. (3) As regular compensation for department heads includes amounts for overtime in perform~.ance of duties in excess of the regular ~ork ~eek, which may includ~ attendance at meetings of the to~,~ boards and con, missions, enargencies,.and other job-related activities, such personnel are not eligible for overtime pay or com- pensatory time as provided in this article. Such personnel are permitted when authorized by the >fanager to take the time from regular work hours when needed for personal affairs ~ithout deducting said time from vacation leave, so long as such time does not adversely affect the performance of the department head's duties and responsibilities.
