Windy City Red Hots Ribbon Cutting
Scheduled for Friday, May 28, 2010
Leesburg, VA (May 25, 2010) ‐ At 11:00 a.m. on Friday,
May 28, 2010, Town of Leesburg officials will hold a ribbon
cutting for Windy City Red Hots, located at 28 South King
Street in Historic Downtown Leesburg.
Since 2008, Windy City Red Hots has been serving Chicago’s
favorite foods, including hot dogs, Italian sausage and pizza
puffs, in Northern Virginia from their permanently‐parked
kitchen trailer in Ashburn. Owners Angel and Pia Miranda
are excited to open their second location in Leesburg.
“We started out the year with plans to upgrade our
Ashburn location with a larger trailer. Although we are still
planning on doing that, we quickly refocused our efforts on
opening a second location in Leesburg.” said Pia Miranda.
The new restaurant in Leesburg will offer an indoor dining space that the Ashburn location lacks,
allowing the restaurant to operate longer hours. The Leesburg location will serve beer as well, as soon
as the Mirandas’ license is approved by the Virginia ABC.
Windy City Red Hots was featured as one of the Washington area’s “Dirt Cheap Eats” by Washingtonian
Magazine in December 2009. In addition, the restaurant has received favorable reviews on a number of
websites, including Chowhound, Urbanspoon and Yelp.
The Mirandas credit much of their business growth to the use of social media that has enabled them to
reach out to and connect with a broader audience. Windy City Red Hots can be found on Facebook,
Twitter and MySpace. The Mirandas plan to open additional locations in Northern Virginia area. For
more information, including menus, visit their website at www.windycityredhots.com.
