PLAINFIELD BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS MINUTES
August 27, 2019
Commissioner Greg Chapman called the August 27, 2019 meeting of the Board of Police Commissioners to order
at 6:00pm. In attendance were Commissioner Chapman, Commissioner Schindlbeck, Chief Konopek, Amy Eitapence,
Cindie Blazina and Kim McKinney.
Public Forum: Citizen's Comments -None.
The minutes of the July 16, 2019 were read, and Commissioner Chapman moved the minutes to be approved,
Commissioner Schindlbeck seconded the motion. All in favor.
Correspondence- None.
Old Business- Amy Eitapence from IOSolutions spoke of implementing procedures to assure accuracy in all
testing processes. At a Commission level we will work with IOSolutions to provide our own checks and balance system
to ensure accurate and efficient testing procedures.
Commission Secretary, Kim McKinney, will coordinate with IOSolutions all remaining details of the upcoming
Sergeants Test.
New Business- Chief Konopek advised the Commission the Board will need to continue with additional oral
interviews with a goal of having twenty more candidates ready for background checks for the position of Patrol
Officer. Commission agreed and will coordinate testing dates.
Executive Session -Commissioner Chapman moved the meeting be adjourned to Executive Session at 6:16pm.
There being no further business or discussion, Commissioner Chapman moved the meeting be adjourned at
7:05pm.
