Absent Werkman. Eilderts moved to approve the minutes of the July regular meeting. Buseman seconded the motion. All ayes, carried. Eilderts moved to approve the Treasurer’s Report for July. Van Heiden seconded the motion. All ayes, carried. Van Heiden moved to approve the following bills for payment. Nederhoff seconded the motion. All ayes, carried. Karen Mennenga, Library Director, presented the Library Report. Alan Fisher, Public Works, presented the Public Works Report. Nederhoff moved to approve contract with Visu-Sewer to jet and televise City Sewer System. Approximate start date to be September 15, 2012. Buseman seconded the motion. All ayes, carried. Eilderts moved to authorize Ryken Engineering to move forward on the new DNR NPDES Permit requirements. Van Heiden seconded the motion. All ayes, carried. Van Heiden moved to approve an amendment to Ordinance 08-2012-1 amending Chapter 55 pertaining to animal protection and control. Nederhoff seconded the motion. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Ordinance 08-2012-1 is available for viewing at City Hall. Van Heiden moved to waive the second and third reading of the ordinance and pass upon the first reading. Buseman seconded the motion. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Buseman moved to approve establishing Ordinance 08-2012-2 56 an ordinance creating Chapter 56 establishing rules and regulations for dangerous and vicious animals. Nederhoff seconded the motion. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Ordinance 08-2012-2 is available for viewing at City Hall. Nederhoff moved to waive the second and third reading of Ordinance 08-2012-2 and pass upon the first reading. Van Heiden seconded the motion. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. At 8:50 p.m. the Mayor declared this was the time and place for the public hearing on the proposed Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan for Grundy County. Being there were no oral or written objections the Mayor declared the public hearing closed at 8:51 p.m. Van Heiden moved to approve Resolution 08-2012-1 a resolution adopting a Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan for Grundy County. Eilderts seconded the motion. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Nederhoff moved to approve Resolution 08-2012-2 a resolution setting date for public hearing on the proposed sale of property. Buseman seconded the motion. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Eilderts moved to approved building permits for Tracy Herington, Mark Roder and Dale Johnson. Buseman seconded the motion.
