Tiffin Planning and Zoning Febuary 6, 2002
Meeting of the Tiffin Planning and zoning Commission brought to order by Chair Steve
Berner, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at the Tiffin Fire Station. Members
present: Sandy Huedepohl, Mark Petersen, Terry Richardson, Steve Berner and Melvin
Reeve. Absent: None. Also present: Mayor Glenn R. Potter. Councilmember Dave
Shaffer and Karin Dils.
Motion Richardson, second Huedepohl to approve printed minutes. Ayes: Richardson,
Huedepohl, Petersen, Berner and Reeve. Motion carried.
Chad Freeman present to see the status of rezoning along Main Street. No written
application of rezoning has been received from Joe Johnston or Greg Stevens. Attorney
Greenleaf had called today to indicate that he was goin to try to get ordinance papers in
order,to this time Mr. Greenleaf had not received written request from Mr. Johnston. No
other information at this time. No action taken by Planning and Zoning. Planning and
Zoning will place on agenda when paperwork is in. Request that Attorney Greenleaf
reviewzoning request for procedure and timelines.
Members reviewed possible changes in the fringe area agreement with Johnson county.
Commission will continue study next month.
Karin Dils has started a review of zoning categories for the city, will try to get
information to begin a study of update on zones at the next meeting.
Motion Huedepohl, second Richardson to adjourn. Motion carried. 8:30 p.m.
