APPROVING HAZARDOUS MATERIAL COST
RECOVERY INTERLOCAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX
WHEREAS, on the present Hazardous Materials Cost Recovery Interlocal
Services Agreement between the Borough of Carteret and the County of
Middlesex will expire at the end of December, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has determined that a renewal of this Interlocal
Service Agreement is beneficial to the Borough of Carteret; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body is desirous to enter into a new Interlocal
Services Contract with the County of Middlesex for a period of three (3) years,
until December 31, 2006, as authorized pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:8-1, et seq..
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. The Hazardous Materials Cost Recovery Interlocal Services
Agreement with the County of Middlesex for the period of January 1, 2004
through December 31, 2006 is hereby approved.
2. The Mayor and Borough Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute the Interlocal Services Agreement in a form approved by the Borough
Attorney.
3. The Borough Clerk shall forward a the executed agreement
in the requested number of counterparts to the Public Health Department, County
of Middlesex, at the Middlesex County Administration Building, Fifth Floor, 1
JFK Square, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

original on December 19, 2003.
