Tiffin Planning and Zoning Commission June 1, 2005
A regular meeting of the Tiffin Planning and Zoning Commission was brought to order,
by member Melvin Reeve at 6;30 p.m. it the'Tiffin Fire Station, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, •
June 1, 2005. Members present: Melvin Reeve, Stephanie Surine, and Ruth DeMuth.
Absent: Terry Richardson and Steve Berner. Also present: Mayor Glen Potter and
Councilmember Jim Bartels arrived at 6:40 p.m. ,
Motion Reeve, second Surine to approve minutes of last regular meeting. Ayes: DeMuth,
Surine, and Reeve.
Ruth DeMuth reported on the Planning and Zoning program provided by SUI and
attended Uy Mayor Potter, Terry Richardson, Karin Dils, Ruth DeMuth and Margaret
Reihman.
Planning and Zoning discussed the addition of Planned Area Development or`PADs to e
ti the Zoning amendment and recommended that this be given consideration for our new
zdning ordinance.
Craig McCormick of Party Town US spent tinie discussing the kind of plans he has for
the area south of I-80• He envisions an entertainment complex with grass parking and
outdoor and mobile camping with music, horseback riding, flea markets, antique sales,
bars,'banquet rooms, weddings and hotel, and a number of other attractions.

Members considered problems with dust control,police, trash and noise. No solutions or
money at this time to take care of these concerns. McCormick will attend the'next

- regular meeting.
